Ayurveda isn't "Science-Backed"

Ayurveda isn't "Science-Backed"

Imagine scrolling through TikTok in this generation…

And being told that the oils don’t work anymore. That the butters you grew up on, the herbal steams your grandmother swore by, the rituals that sustained your scalp for centuries… somehow aren’t “science-backed.”

But I’m starting to realize — people only call it science when the ingredients are hard to pronounce.

So let’s go back.

Not to the last decade — but 5,000 years ago,

before phones,

before Wi-Fi,

before we could type “low porosity routine” into a search bar.

Back when the hair flourished from root to tip

with no product shelf, no influencer.

Just Nature.

Just nourishment.

Just knowing.

The water wasn’t hard.

The food wasn’t fake.

The Hair wasn’t stressed.

It didn’t wake up dreading being straightened into submission.

It didn’t shrink in shame.

It didn’t need to fight for approval.

It just was.

And it bloomed.

Because it was fed.

That being said, if it worked then, why wouldn't it work now? The problem isn't ayurveda, it's the desire to band-aid over the desire to eat right, drink more water, manipulate less, get more sleep, detangle with care.

The problem isn't the Ayurveda, it's us.
